If you’ve been affected by pain, disability or injury, our physiotherapy services can help you to manage pain and regain and maintain your health.
Physiotherapy is a science-based profession, and we take a holistic approach to health & wellbeing, which includes your general lifestyle.
Through physiotherapy we will empower you to be involved in your own care, with education and take-home advice to build on your in-clinic therapy.
What can Physiotherapy help with?
- Back and neck pain
- Joint and muscle pain anywhere in the body
- Headaches and migraine
- Injuries and rehabilitation
- Managing long-term conditions such as arthritis or osteoporosis
- Preparing for and recovering from childbirth
- Preparing for or recovering from a sporting event
You don’t need a GP referral to begin physiotherapy. You can call us to chat through your symptoms and we’ll be able to advise on the best course of treatment.
If you participate in regular exercise, sports massage can help to enhance performance, aid recovery and prevent injury.
By manipulating soft tissue including the skin, muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia, we can correct problems and imbalances that occur with strenuous and repetitive physical activity.
We have worked with runners, football players, rugby players, swimmers, cyclists, tennis players, cricketers and athletes across the whole spectrum of sports.
Did you know that we sponsor Tom Allsopp at Skipton Rugby Club. Read more here.
Deep Tissue Massage
A great treatment for non-sports related pain, including desk workers with a bad back, shoulders or neck, retail workers and hairdressers on their feet all day or long distance driver.
Acupuncture is one of the many skills used within physiotherapy as an integrated approach to the management of pain and inflammation and as a means of stimulating the body’s own healing chemicals in order to aid recovery and enhance rehabilitation.
Our highly qualified physiotherapists are members of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists, and use scientific, clinical research to treat pain, inflammation and musculoskeletal conditions.
We have several therapy rooms at Physio Phoenix which are available to independent practitioners. If you would like to hire a therapy room please contact Ruth.
